My Project Life in 2015

Hi guys! High time to share some things about my Project Life album this year. If you remember for past 1.5 year I was working in small, handbook size album and tried to cover the most important events happening through the year. So rather than documenting days, weeks and months, I was putting in my album stories of birthdays, holidays, special moments. In the meantime I was making huge amount of traditional scrapbooking layouts so the daily life was pretty covered there. This year I’ve decided to shake things up a bit- scrapbook traditional layouts much less and instead focus on filling the Project Life album weekly. Size and style stay same- for now at least :) Welcome 2015 (once again- this time in my album!)
Hej! Najwyzsza pora aby powiedziec kilka slow na temat mojego albumu Project Life w tym roku. Przez ostatnie 1.5 roku prowadzilam maly, podreczny album w ktorym staralam sie (lepiej lub gorzej :) dokumentowac to co dzialo sie w ciagu roku. Odpuscilam sobie gonienie dzien za dniem, tydzien za tygodniem, raczej umieszczalam w albumie wydarzenia jak urodziny, specjalne okazje, wakacje i podroze w chronologicznej kolejnosci. W miedzyczasie pracowalam nad normalnymi layoutami wiec wszystkie drobiazgi i codzienne chwile najczesciej znajdowaly sie na nich. W tym roku mialam ochote na zmiany, poprzestawianie troche tego co i jak robie. Mniej layoutow, zamiast nich cotygodniowe relacje w albumie Project Life- decyzja zapadla. Rozmiar albumu, styl- to wszystko pozostaje bez zmian. Witaj (jeszcze raz) Nowy Roku, tym razem na papierze i zdjeciach :)

Citrus Twist Kits- January kits

Hello! I’m sharing 2 layouts created with January kits from my beloved Citrus Twist Kits! I loved working with the kits this month- I had some sudden mojo come back and created these layouts so quickly!

First page mixes Pocket Life kits and regular scrapbooking kits. It’s bright and colorful, I loved every single product used on this layout but my number 1 will be the bold alpha stickers- they are great what do you think?

Pierwszy layout to miks kitow scrapowych i kitow do Pocket Life. Scrap jest jasny, kolorowy, natycha energia- widac chyba, ze uwielbiam kazdy produkt, ktory sie na nim znalazl, ale jesli mialabym wybrac moj numer 1 bylby to ten grubasny i transparentny alfabet- cudny jest!

Seaside Walk with Chic Tags November kit

I had a pleasure to play with exclusive November kit from Chic Tags this month and oh boy I liked the products! Here is my layout using some photos from the trip to the sea last year and telling the little story about resting and swithcing off for a while :)

What I loved about the kit was how nicely it coordinates with the main Chic Tags lines- I could work without worrying about matching shades and tones and just enjoyed creating my page :) There are more inspiring combination on our blog so make sure to have a look there too!

Hello Autumn- Project Life with Lemon Owl

Hello and happy-almost-weekend everyone! I’m loaded with good thoughts and positive energy after spending wonderful and relaxing week at home! I didn’t expect that holiday at home can be so much fun, but seriously we enjoyed every single day! Yesterday the weather changed and the rain came to Istanbul- believe me or not but I was super excited about putting on warm hoodie and socks, drinking tea and welcoming autumn…

And when we talk about autumn- today I’d like to share with you beginning of this season captured in my mini PL album. I used gorgeous Lemon Owl papers and amazing stamps from Citrus Twist Kits (plus the huge alphabet roller stamp available here!)

I couldn’t wait for new Lemon Owl collection so instead I used the Attic Door line– can you see how lovely it works with photos of first autumn moments? It was so easy to make these pages especially with all the cute tags and die cuts which accompany the collection.

Citrus Twist Kits stamps have been my favorite since the first kit I got and I can’t wait to share with you some BIG news about them pretty soon!!

Guest Design for Give a Girl a Blog!

Hi! A while ago I was offered to guest design for lovely Kellie- the owner of Give a Girl a… stamps brand. I worked with a gorgeous June set called Just for You!

Hej!Jakiś czas temu dostałam propozycję przygotowania gościnnych prac dla Kellie- autorki bloga Give a Girl a.. oraz projektantki świetnych akrylowych stempli. Kellie robi stemple takie jakie lubię- na każdą okazję! Jej piękne projekty znajdziecie tutaj, co miesiąc w sklepiku pojawiają się nowe stemple, które można zamawiać na bieżąco albo możecie skorzystać z opcji prenumeraty. Ja miałam przyjemność pracować z czerwcowymi zestawem o wdzięcznej nazwie Just for You:

I love the mix of handwritten sentiments and images in this set and decided to create a layout and a gift tag using them. The stamps stamp wonderfull and the details are really visible. I experimented with stamping on different papers like vellum and watercolor cardstock and it both worked perfectly! Here are the works I made:

Uwielbiam tę mieszankę odręcznego pisma i rysunków, i po chwili namysłu postanowiłam użyć moich nowych stempli do stworzenia scrapa i taga do prezentów. Powiem wam, że stempelki odbijają się super, wszystkie detale są naprawdę precyzyjne i dobrze widoczne , próbowałam stemplowania na kalce i papierze do akwareli i wszystko działało bez zarzutu! Poniżej możecie zobaczyć moje prace:

On this layout I wanted to make a good use of the sentiment stamps included in set and I decided to match them with the big picture of the 2 of us. The sky in the picture is a bit burned out so I thought it would be ok to cover it. I stamped Kellie’s stamps on some vellum, let the ink dry and than hand cut some clouds shapes which I attached to my page. They added fun dimension and a bit of whimsical look to the layout. Here are some details:

Na scrapie chciałam przede wszystkim wykorzystać stemple z napisami, których jest całe mnóstwo w zestawie. Zdecydowałam się połączyć je z dużym zdjęciem, na którym niestety niebo nie wyszło najlepiej postanowiłam więc zasłonić je stemplowymi odbitkami. Odbiłam napisy na kalce technicznej, pozwoliłam tuszowi dobrze wyschnąć a następnie odręcznie wycięłam małe chmurki, które przymocowałam do pracy. Scrap nabrał lekkości i przestrzenności, a jego charakter stał się bardziej kolorowy i zabawny, Poniżej detale:

Drugą pracą, którą przygotowałam z czerwcowymi stemplami jest poniższy tag:

To create this tag I started with jars- I loved them and as soon as I saw them I stamped them on some thick watercolor paper and painted with colorful paints. Once they dried I cut them out and placed on my tag. I added some labels to them which I also made using the stamps from the set and Prima’s Chalk Edger ink. I added a speech bubble with a sentiment and lots of fun splashes and stitches and I was done! The tag is really cute, just have a look:

Pracę nad tagiem zaczęłam od słoików- gdy tylko stemple wpadły w moje ręce odbiłam 2 słoiki na kawałku papieru do akwareli i pomalowałam je kolorowymi farbami. Gdy wyschły wycięłam je i umieściłam na tagu. Do słoików dodałam etykietki, które również znajdziecie w zestawie stempli, odbiłam je za pomocą tuszu Primy i wycięłam. Dodałam też dymkę z napisem odbitym stemplem, trochę przeszyć i kolorowych chlapań i gotowe! Sami spójrzcie jak słodki jest ten tag:

Today Was Awesome!

Do you sometimes have days which you don’t want to end? We do, actually most of the weekends are like this and the last one wasn’t the exception. We were outside most of the time, with some kind of plan which didn’t work out in 100% but still the days flew so smoothly, happily and easily… I ended up with a bunch of photos and today I have one of the on a page made with ScrapMap‘s new sketch!

Czy zdarzają Wam się takie dni, które mogłyby się właściwie nigdy nie kończyć? Ja czuję się tak co weekend, chciałoby się krzyczeć chwilo trwaj! W zeszłym tygodniu nie było to wyjątkiem- spędziliśmy mnóstwo czasu na świeżym powietrzu, dni upływały spokojnie, według swojego rytmu, po prostu szczęśliwie… a na koniec zostałam z serią super zdjęć, dzisiaj pierwsze z nich na scrapie wg nowej mapki ScrapMap!

These days I’m really inspired by the white base and all the magic which can happen on it! I love the fact that with few scraps of paper (or gorgeous tags!!) and basic supplies you can create something unique and artsy! This time round I decided to add some watercolors to my paper, I applied them on the layer of gesso and added fun, dimensional chipboard elements on the top.

Ostatnio strasznie rusza mnie biała baza i wszystkie możliwości jakie ze sobą niesie- mnie najbardziej przekonuje fakt, że potrzeba niewielu dodatków aby stworzyć na niej coś ciekawego i wesołego, biel wydobywa i dzieją się czary! Tym razem pokusiłam się o nieco akwareli położonych na warstwie gesso oraz na wycinankowe tekturki, które fajnie dodają przestrzenności całej pracy.

Hej! Zaczęliście już produkcję świątecznych kartek? U mnie rusza mimochodem, przy kolejnych mapkach i wyzwaniach, po to aby na początku listopada nabrać wiatru w żagle! Święta to chyba fajny czas, aby się przełamać jeśli chodzi o kartkowanie, tyle okazji do eksperymentów :) Jeśli nie czujecie się za bardzo na siłach, fajnym sposobem na początek może być lift. Na przykład taki jak na ART-PIASKOWNICY gdzie w tym tygodniu zajmujemy się piękną kartką Marinette! Moja propozycja tutaj:

I have a slow start, but use every opportunity to make something ahead and I believe as soon as I come back from holiday the process will speed up! I think in general Christmas is a good time to break into cardmaking habit- you need cards and why not to push yourself to make some? So I’m putting myself in Christmassy mood with well known patterns and colors just to jump in the crazy ones soon I believe! But well, I love this typical color combo of the season and as much as new things make me excited and inspired I always come back to these red, green and white shades :) How do you like star from Wycinanka covered with washi? Tym razem postawiłam na prostotę. Żeby jednak nie było zbyt nudno dodałam nieco faktury za pomoca gessa i ulubionej maski :) Do kompletu powstała też malutka torebka np na ciasteczka, które można wręczyć komuś kto się przeprowadza :)

I decided to keep things as simple as possible this time, but couldn’t stop myself from adding a little bit of texture by favorite masking technique with gesso! I also prepared a little matching gift bag- maybe to put cookies inside for someone’s moving day :)

Jak zrobić pierwszego scrapa- kilka wskazówek i film {how to make your first scrapbooking layout, few tips + video}

Witajcie! Chciałab ym pokazać Wam dzisiaj mój sposób na stworzenie scrapa. Będziecie mieli okazję obejrzeć krótki film, w którym możecie prześledzić mój cały proces, a na początek chciałabym podzielić się z Wami drobnymi wskazówkami, które mam nadzieję pomogą Wam w dalszym tworzeniu.

Hey! Today I want to show you how I usually make my layouts! You can watch a short film I made especially for you and track my entire process there but first things first, I want to give you some beginner’s tips which I hope will help you to start smoothly!

FORMAT typowy scrap ma format 30×30 cm (12”x12”), ale nic nie stoi na przeszkodzie, aby robić scrapy mniejsze- może bardziej podpasuje Wam format a4 albo 20×20 cm (to format moich scrapów, więcej o tym dlaczego scrapuję tak a nie inaczej możecie znaleźć w tym artykule). Pamiętajcie, aby Wasze zdjęcie odpowiednio zmniejszyć jeśli decydujecie się na mniejszy format scrapa.

SIZE usually scrapbooking layouts are 30×30 cm (12”x12”), but there are no objections to make smaller pages- maybe you will prefer a4 size or try yourself at 20cm x 20cm (it’s how I make my layouts, read more about it in this post). Just if you decide to go for smaller size remember to print a little bit smaller photos too!

PAPIERY na rynku dostępne jest mnóstwo papierów w najróżniejszych wzorach i kolorach, każdy znajdzie tu coś dla siebie. Jeśli dopiero zaczynacie przygodę ze scrapbookingiem polecam  pracować na papierach z jednej kolekcji. Dzięki temu unikniecie problemów z mieszaniem kolorów, ciepłych i zimnych odcieni oraz często znajdziecie w zestawie pasujące dodatki, naklejki lub alfabety. Takie kolekcje możecie znaleźć w ofercie wielu sklepów i firm.

PAPERS– there are thousands of papers available out there so sometimes it gets confusing to pick the right one. If you are new to scrapbooking adventures try to use papers from the same collection. You will avoid all the problems with matching colors, warm and cold shades ets. Also collection kits usually include matching stickers, embellishments and alphabets so you will be ready to go faster.

ZDJĘCIE aby ułatwić sobie zadanie możecie wykorzystać czarno-białe zdjęcie- rozwiążecie tym samym problem pasujących kolorów. Więcej o robieniu zdjęć do scrapów możecie poczytać w magazynie 30×30, a z uwag technicznych ode mnie- najpraktyczniej jest pracować ze zdjęciami matowymi- widać na nich mniej śladów palców, zabrudzeń itp ;)

PHOTOGRAPHat the beginning it might be easier for you to work with black and white photo- again you will avoid all the fuss with matching colors. You can learn more about taking great photos for your pages from article in 30×30 magazine. And a little tip from me- working with matt photos is so much easier (and cleaner) than working with shiny ones- save yourself fingerprints and glue marks and just print those photos matt ;)

DODATKI I MIEJSCE PRACY najlepiej jest przygotować wcześniej. Przejrzyjcie swoje stemple, taśmy, naklejki, tekturki, kwiatki, koronki i wybierzcie zawczasu te, które pasują Wam do koncepcji i kolorów scrapa. Przygotujcie tusze, farby, maszynę do szycia jeśli zamierzacie ich używać i obowiązkowo kleje, taśmy dwustronne, długopis do journalingu, nóż czy nożyczki. Może nie skorzystacie z każdego drobiazgu, ale mając wszystko przed sobą na stole będziecie mieli większy wybór.

EMBELISHMENTS and your WORKSPACE prepare all your stuff before. Have a look through your stamps, tapes, stickers, chipboards, laces, flowers and pull out whatever you want to use, check if it  matches your color scheme and topic of your layout and place it on your desk. Prepare all inkpads, needles, scissors, glue, double side tapes, paints and ………..(put here what necessary:)) Maybe you want use every single item but at least you can see all of them and there is a chance you won’t forget about them :)

KOMPOZYCJA na początku sporym problemem może być obmyślenie kompozycji pracy, z czasem przychodzi to dużo łatwiej, ale zdecydowanie ułatwicie sobie ogromnie zadanie korzystając z mapki. Możecie narysować ją sami a ja gorąco polecam Wam ScrapMap, gdzie uzbierała się już spora kolekcja inspirujących mapek do wypróbowania przy scrapowaniu i kartkowaniu. Możecie też spróbować zrobić ‘’lifta’’ czyli stworzyć pracę, której punktem wyjścia jest praca innej scraperki. To świetne ćwiczenie! Zajrzyjcie na liftonoszki po nieustające inspiracje w tej kategorii!

COMPOSITION might be a tricky part at first. How to cover all this space and end up with a pleasing result not with a huge mess? Well, you can sketch it on the scrap of paper or follow pre made sketch! We have a great collection of sketches for cards and layouts on ScrapMap– feel invited to stop by:) Also you could try to do a scraplift- use someone else’s layout for your start point. Girls from liftonoszki do a terrific job, there are so many inspirations on their blog- check it out, it’s a great place to start!

Ostatnie dni upływaja pod znakiem nieustannego robienia czegoś. Cały czas na zwiększonych obrotach z uśmiechem na twarzy czekam na weekend kiedy będę miała w domu towarzystwo i trochę mniej czasu na robienie bałaganu na biurku :) Nie zrozumcie mnie źle, kocham to co robię, ale dla odskoczni marzy mi się jesienny spacer jak u Mizerii, wyprawa na kawę we dwoje czy odwiedziny w małej galerii. I’ve been a busy bee recently. I keep making autumn preserves (so yummy!) and all the time there is work, work, work and even more work so I’m really looking forward to the weekend when I have my Fab’s company and a little distraction from all the mess around. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do everyday but it’ll be nice to go for a walk together (like Mizeria did!), grab a coffee or visit a small art gallery. I love getting inspired outside my studio ♥ But for today I have for you a layout about waiting for fall which I made using  newest ScrapMap sketch!

Na pierwszy rzut oka mapka trochę mnie przestraszyła- tyle tu prostych linii, a mi jest ciężko robić prace ”pod linijkę”. Z pomoca przyszedł kraciasty papier i maszyna do szycia- udało mi się stworzyć geometryczne tło bez konieczności narysowania jednej linii prostej ;) Na wierzch wrzuciłam moje ulubione warstwy i dodatki i tak powstał scrap! Poniżej możecie zerknać na zbliżenia:

When I first saw Noomiy’s sketch I was stressed- there were so many STRAIGHT lines and well, to be honest I hardly ever manage to cut a straight line ;) but great help was the grid paper- I just cut following the lines and it worked well. Than I stitched it with my machine, and my grid background was done. I used handful of my favourite techniques and embelishments to finish up the page :)You can see some details below:
